La Evolución is a performance or a happening where I draw and paint evolution into a 160cmx600cm paper roll. I only do the painting in an exhibition place where I can interact with the audience while painting. The forms are somewhere between imagination and biological observation. The work will show not only the biological evolution all the way to animals and humen, but also the evolution of drawing and painting sprinkled around the work. I use painting and drawing materials that I happen to have available at the time. So far I’ve used ink, pencils, acrylic ink markers and gouache.
The project started at Gallery Kouta expo in June 2022 and continued in Rovaniemi at the Gallery Värinä in August 2022. Currently I’m looking for exhibition spaces to continue the painting.
